The mean number of patients admitted daily to our stroke unit was 2.5 [95% CI: 2.0–3.0] in 2019 and dropped by 10% to 2.3 patients [95% CI: 1.7–2.8] in spring lockdown and in fall lockdown light by 2.9% to 2.4 [95% CI: 1.9–3.0] respectively, which both did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 2 c, d).
