Discussion Our study demonstrated that the longitudinal strain (expressed as PSLV and PSLS) has a significantly stronger relationship to increased cardiac wall stress (expressed as a rise in levels of NT-pro BNP) than LVEF, which rather has a moderately significant correlation, in patients of AWMI without HF.
