highly significantP = 5.38 × 10 −5
The IVW regression showed a highly significant association between the 11 SNPs used as genetic instruments of exposure and risk of developing MM (coeff = 1.175, 95% CI 0.61–1.75, P = 5.38 × 10 −5 ), whereas the MR-Egger regression showed a statistically non-significant association (coeff = 0.532, 95% CI −1.16 to 2.22, P = 0.538), although in line with IVW regression, with the intercept slightly, but not significantly, different from zero (intercept = 0.06, 95% CI −0.09 to 0.20, P = 0.428).
