Rates of stroke were lower but did not reach statistical significance (5.6% vs. 9.1%, p = NS) and, although rates of neurocognition deficit were similar between groups, there was a correlation between decline in neurocognitive function and volume of lesions detected on a cerebral MRI ( Table 3 ) [ 45 ].
