Potential mediation was further supported by the finding that the overall interaction effect was only borderline significant after addition of these risk factors (model 6 versus model 5, P = 0.062 ( Table 3 )), although the interaction effect of the WGS with low versus high EA was not attenuated and remained nominally significant (model 6, B = −0.034 (SE, 0.015); P = 0.027) (Web Table 1).
