In a parallel experiment, we tested the effect of this congenic locus on myopathy and observed a dosage effect, whereby Col4a1 +/Δex41 mice that were heterozygous at the MoGS1 locus ( MoGS1 C/B ) showed a trend toward reduced myopathy, while homozygous MoGS1 C/C incipient congenic mice had significantly milder myopathy compared to mice that were homozygous for the B6 allele ( MoGS1 B/B ).
