Among all three b-AR (b 1 , β 2 , and b 3 -AR) agonists, the b 1 -AR agonist dobutamine recapitulated the effect of isoproterenol, significantly increasing PPARδ mRNA, and the β 2 -AR agonist clenbuterol also showed a trend to induce PPARδ mRNA, albeit to a lesser extent ( Online Supplementary Figure S8B ).
