An IFNγ ELISA was used to measure the quantity of IFNγ in serum and revealed an increase in the levels of IFNγ measured following vaccination in five of the six BCG vaccinated animals relative to the unvaccinated group although the difference did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.179).
