The effect of menstrual cycle phase on PdG change did not reach statistical significance (p = .294); however, it did follow expected trends, with PdG change being small in the follicular phase (M(SE) = 21 (439) pg/ml), positive in the early luteal (M(SE) = 331 (698) pg/ml) and mid-luteal (M(SE) = 411 (377) pg/ml) phases and, finally, negative in the late luteal phase (M(SE) = −894 (568) pg/ml).
