In the unadjusted proportional hazards model, there was a clear trend for lower eGFR levels to be associated with an increased risk of the composite cardiovascular endpoint and individual endpoints of death, MI, ischemic stroke, bleeding, and major bleeding over the 2-year follow-up period (Fig. 2 ).
