12 Whereas a smaller average diameter of HDL particles was observed with all SEP indicators in the present study, associations with large and very large HDL particles (and their lipid constituents) were weaker and did not reach statistical significance with current/last occupation level, suggesting that the social environment in earlier life periods is more important for these measures.
