In our study, the total effect for all categories of working hours for healthcare professionals tended to be related to the occurrence of near-misses relative to the category 35–40 h/w, which did not reach statistical significance in our model but was slightly significant in the models taking into account such factors as recovery from fatigue or more complex model structures.
