When inoculation was performed within 4 days, or from 5 days or later from sample collection, the TLA positivity rate for Sm + samples decreased from 72.6% to 59.0% ( P = 0.053), while the negative rate increased from 20.1% to 28.3.8% ( P = 0.16), though it did not reach statistical significance.
