A clear trend of increasing fluorescence intensity with increasing nucleus volume is observed, consistent with the progressive increase of the size of a cell and its nucleus during the eukaryotic cell cycle, 40–42 and that mVenus-geminin is highly expressed in the later phases of the cycle, once the cell has started its DNA replication.
