nearly significantP = .05
Among a subsample of 460 donors, compared to donors without complications, reoperation was strongly associated with postdonation depression, and other surgical complications showed a nearly significant association ( P = .05). 45 A retrospective, cross-sectional study (n = 208) found that living kidney donors with postoperative complications had increased anxiety ( P = .018). 46 In our sample, the increase in depression and anxiety at 3 months in donors with complications is temporary, and scores return toward baseline at 12 months.
