Results: Partial correlation analysis controlled for BMI and age showed a significant correlation between ImP and diastolic blood pressure (r s = 0.285, p = 0.004) and a borderline significance with systolic blood pressure (r s = 0.187, p = 0.060); however, systolic and diastolic blood pressure did not correlate with ImP precursor histidine (r s = 0.063, p = 0.526 and r = −0.038, p = 0.712, respectively).
