Whether or not reduced number of SNARE complexes can lead to the robust effect of N-peptide deletions on STP is not clear, but likely, as the longer N-peptide deletions showed a trend towards smaller absolute values of EPSCs throughout the high-frequency stimulus ( Figure 6—figure supplement 1 ).
