Sample quality statistics revealed a slightly significant (at the margin of statistical significance) correlation between typed Y-SNPs with initial chrY concentrations measured before library preparation (p = 1.30×10 −3 ) and their degradation index (DI, p = 1.27×10 −2 ) (see section ‘CSYseq robustness’, S2 Fig ).
