In the medial and peripheral retina, a similar trend towards increases in ONL thickness and the number of photoreceptor rows was evident in P23H/+:Tlr2 −/− versus P23H/+:Tlr2 +/− mice, although these effects did not reach statistical significance (medial and peripheral ONL/INL thickness ratio, p = 0.08 and 0.12, respectively; number of photoreceptor rows in the medial and peripheral retina, p = 0.07 and 0.24, respectively; Figure 5 ).
