Furthermore, prior history of laser photocoagulation (OR 4.08; 95% CI 0.71–23.49; p = 0.12) and preoperative macular detachment (OR 2.26; 95% CI 0.98–5.19; p = 0.06) were associated with the occurrence of macular pucker but did not reach statistical significance in our patient cohort.
