FGF21 (in comparison to vehicle) again robustly increased body temperature from the start of the treatment ( Figure 4 A,B) and also affected energy expenditure, although this effect did not reach statistical significance before the 5th injection, mainly due to a higher variance among energy expenditure data ( Figure 4 C,D).
