Finally, in a prospective study of Japanese adults aged 40–54 years, a positive association between dining immediately before going to bed and the risk of incident MetS did not reach statistical significance; however, women who had both the habits of dining just before going to bed and of snacking after dinner had an increased risk of MetS [ 25 ].
