Nonetheless, our finding that PAs slowed reclamation is consistently observed in all seven PAs and supported by our analyses showing that (i) there was a significant trend of decreasing reclamation in PA sites compared to non-PA control sites ( Fig. 1D ) and (ii) reclamation became significantly lower in PA than non-PA control sites in the most recent year of investigation (table S2).
