We found that the proportion of resting mast cells in the high-risk group was significantly lower than in the low-risk group, while activated mast cells in the high-risk group were higher than in the low-risk group, even though the difference did not reach statistical significance (mean proportion 0.12 vs. 0.02, p = 0.22).
