Using MRI-PDFF as the reference standard, a study in 60 children with severe obesity found that the accuracy of CAP for detecting steatosis was higher than that of US, even though this difference did not reach statistical significance (AUROC: 0.80 vs. 0.68), probably due to the small number of children enrolled into the study [ 27 ].
