In contrast, Cluster five showed a subset of genes that were reduced only in macrophages lacking MED16, including Irf8 and Stat1 ; as these effects were modest, and did not reach statistical significance, they may be suggestive of an incomplete positive feedforward in which MED16 plays a role.
