We observed that, with respect to patients with baseline eGFR ≥ 60 mL/min/1.73 m 2 , those with AKI (low baseline eGFR and no history of CKD) showed a trend of an increased hazard ratio to reach the combined outcome ( p = 0.059), while those patients with both low eGFR and CKD had a significantly higher probability to develop the combined outcome ( p < 0.001) ( Table 4 ).
