In age-stratified analyses higher cheese intake was associated with lower cortical BMD at the radius and tibia in men and women over the age of 60 years [β (SE) per 1 serv/week: −7.40 (2.59), p = 0.01 and per 1 serv/week: per 1 serv/week: −7.82 (2.85), p = 0.01, respectively; Table S3 ), but these associations did not reach statistical significance ( p < 0.003).
