The M2 macrophage population (CD45 + CD11b + Ly6G ‐ F4/80 + CD206 + cells) was reduced in the livers of old mice (5.06 ± 0.12) relative to young mice (6.48 ± 0.56), however, this reduction did not reach statistical significance (Figure 3d ).
