In the HR group, patients in EBRT±VBT showed the trends toward higher 5‐year OS, LRFS, and DMFS compared to VBT alone, especially in LVSI+, pN0, and Ib grade 3 groups, but all of these differences did not reach statistical significance, which is similar to prior studies. 5 , 30 Several studies have demonstrated that EBRT can reduce locoregional recurrence but the increased local control did not translate into a survival benefit. 18 , 31 Thus, VBT alone is currently recommended for IR or HIR group of patients.
