As previously reported, spleens from infected Sirt2 -/- mice had significantly higher levels of H3K18-ac and showed a trend towards lower bacterial numbers compared with wildtype mice ( Fig 2B and S4B Fig ) whilst acetylation levels from uninfected spleens showed no difference ( S4B Fig ).
