While the majority of infections were acquired in the first 48 h of hospitalization in both groups (58.6% for CR vs 69.8% for CS), there was a clear trend of later onset for CR isolates ( P < 0.01), suggesting that CR infections were more likely than CS infections to be nosocomial in origin.
