Characterised by the NOVA classification, our sample ( n = 1155) is mainly made up of ultra-processed products (87.97%; n = 1016), and although it does not reflect a child’s total diet, it suggests a strong trend in food products marketed to children, with no less than 12 categories made up entirely of UPFs.
