This prediction was clearly borne out by the data: the measured change in FF had a strong trend as a function of the change in Δ r (y-axis vs. color-axis in Fig. 3 c), and the measured change in noise correlations had a strong trend as a function of the change in Δ r i Δ r j (y-axis vs. color-axis in Fig. 3 d).
