In addition, the three groups differed in the percentage of patients who attained a HbA 1C level of <6.5% at week 20; that is, 10 participants (64%) in the 4 days/week group achieved a HbA 1C level of <6.5%, whereas just five patients (29%) in the 2 days/week group and two patients (25%) in the control group, although the difference did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.07).
