For social connectedness, post-hoc comparisons found that spousal caregivers reported lower social connectedness (M = 22.1, SD = 6.20) compared to non-family (M = 26.95, SD = 8.47; p = 0.05), with the difference between spousal and family (M = 26.37, SD = 7.45; p = 0.052) caregivers approaching significance.
