The two subjects with increased TSH did not show significantly increased or decreased pituitary sizes in comparison to normal TSH levels (662 and 509 mm 3 , respectively). The analysis of volume and age revealed no significant correlation for the RTHß group (rho = −0.22, P = 0.37), whereas the healthy control group seems to have a faster decline of pituitary size across age and can be interpreted as a significant trend (rho = −0.44, P = 0.09) (see Fig. 2C ).
