Additionally, anodal stimulation increased excitation from SMA to thalamus and cerebellum, and increased inhibition from M1 to cerebellum when compared to sham, but these changes were not polarity specific (i.e., did not reach statistical significance in the comparison between anodal and cathodal stimulation). 3.3 Experiments 1 and 2 - Effects of tDCS on behaviour As expected, we did not find any interactions (polarity x time) for any of the metrics considered in Experiment 1 nor 2 (i.e., reaction time, mean velocity, and peak acceleration).
