While for fresh catalysts, the crystallite size clearly increases as the amount of Sm increases (from 12.3 nm for pure ceria to 13.6 nm for Sm 0.2 Ce 0.8 ); such a clear trend was not observed for the spent catalysts where the crystallite size seems to converge for the size range of between 13.5 and 14.5 nm.
