Conversely, there was a significant trend for increased Rha (12–21%) in the CBP solid residues compared to the fermentation controls, suggesting that Rha-containing polymers in the wall (e.g., RG-I) were not being solubilized and thus were found to proportionally increase in the final residue recovered.
