Although AI scores and heatmaps given by the DLR model misled the radiologists’ decisions in some cases, the total scores of the five radiologists for all lesions in the validation cohorts before and after DLR assistance exhibited a clear trend of enhanced diagnostic performance (Fig. 6 ).
