The participants with MetS were slightly older age and more into their menopausal years; moreover, they had worse health habits (alcohol drinking, fatty food, less exercise). Urinary adiponectin level in participants with MetS group was slightly higher than participants without Mets but did not reach statistical significance (2.6 ± 2.2 vs 2.3 ± 1.9 ng/mL, respectively, P = 0.55).
