19 Thus, the restoration of the corneal nerves, which enhance the corneal and lacrimal recurrent neural circuit, may explain why dry eyes appeared early after surgery and improved thereafter as observed in various tests, especially ST1, which showed a trend towards improvement in all test scores over 12 weeks.
