Notably, 5-ALA appeared to accumulate in both cold and hypoxic conditions, and then dissipate after recovery, whereas the level of L-Glutamic acid remained up-regulated in hypoxic and reoxygenated conditions, and L-Carnosine showed a trend of down-regulation during hypoxia (Figure 2 D-G, Figure S4 D, Data S1 and S3).
