A cutoff point of <90 mg/dL (5.0 mmol/L) for preprandial value with other meals was associated with a similar reduction in risk but it did not reach statistical significance, likely due to the smaller sample size of that subgroup (odds ratio = 0.69, 95% confidence interval = 0.17–2.94, P = .58).
