Even though patients with CD tend to have a lower QoL compared to patients with UC when the disease is in remission, the results reported by clinical studies are divergent; however, in a comprehensive metanalysis, the differences were only borderline significant in the pooled estimate for the mental QoL scores, but they were not significant with generic or IBD-specific QoL scores.
