Serial scanning was performed and showed a trend towards an inverse pattern of the accumulated tracers (Fig. 3 b, d): Tumoral radioiodide efflux was observed over the scanning time in contrast to the [ 18 F]TFB uptake, which showed increasing levels of radionuclide accumulation from the first to the last scan in both settings (s.c. and orthotopic).
