In contrast, Kang et al 30 found that consumption of >30 grams of alcohol per day appeared to be protective for incident POAG (OR, 0.71; 95% CI, 0.49–1.04) in the Nurses’ Health Study and Health Professionals Follow-Up Study (NHS/HPFS), although this result did not reach statistical significance.
