Conclusion In the present study, we further investigated the pharmacodynamics of EH using a rabbit model of arteriovenous bypass thrombosis and a rat model of thrombotic cerebral infarction, and the results demonstrated that EH dose-dependently inhibited thrombus formation in both models and showed a trend of less bleeding than hirudin and LMWH.
