There was a moderately significant direct correlation between the T-FIHOA and the hand pain VAS (Spearman’s rho = 0.37, P < 0.01) which was expected since the FIHOA is not a pain scale, and strong significant direct correlations between T-FIHOA and mHAQ (Spearman’s rho = 0.63, P < 0.01) and T-FIHOA and the DASH score (Spearman’s rho = 0.52, P < 0.01) (Fig. 2 ).
